The Delhi police is investigating a case of blackmailing in which sitar-player Anoushka Shankar, daughter of legendary musician Pandit Ravi Shankar, was blackmailed by a man who allegedly accessed her photographs stored in her laptop.The man, whose identity has not been revealed, has been arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi police, following investigations in Mumbai.Pandit Ravi Shankar had written to the Home Ministry about the harassment his daughter was facing.

Pandit Ravi Shanker told police that his daughter had given her laptop for repairing to a company in south Delhi in February.
The man supposedly copied the pictures from the laptop and sent her email demanding $100,000 for not making them public. We are ascertaining how he got the pictures from the laptop
His name reportedly is Junaid, he is 29 years old. This man had stealthily hacked her email, accessed Anoushka’s personal pictures and since then has been blackmailing her of dire consequences. He has been allegedly harassing the sitar player and blackmailing her that he would be making those photos public unless he was paid $100,000.
It is been reported that the businessman is based in Mumbai. The arrest reportedly took place on September 15. Now the police are interrogating him. The perpetrator reportedly has been booked under IPC’s (Indian penal Code) Section 386. If proven guilty in the court of law, he could end up in jail for a maximum extent of ten years.
