South Korea kept its World Cup hopes alive by playing Nigeria to a 2-2 draw in an exciting match that saw both teams fighting for the chance to advance to the next round of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Nigeria had several more chances to score, but only connected on one of them when Yakubu Ayegbini capitalized on a penalty kick in the 69th minute.
Nigeria was eliminated with the draw and becomes the second African team to fail to advance, following the steps of host South Africa. South Korea will now play Uruguay on Sunday.
