After the day's ups and downs, the Indian stock market has closed down on Tuesday on the downside. Major index Sensex dropped 259 points at 32014 and the Nifty dropped 78 points to close at 9978 level. The Nifty closed below 10,000 level in today's business. On the National Stock Exchange, 1.21 percent in the mid-cap and 1.71 percent in the smallcap were recorded.
Talking about the sectoral index, all the indexes except the metal sector's shares are closed in the red mark. Bank (1.23 per cent), Auto (0.37 per cent), Financial Services (0.96 per cent), FSGC (1.18 per cent), IT (0.52 per cent), Pharma (1.12 per cent) and Realty (4.40 per cent)
