GST return filing deadline increased 5 days

The government has extended the date of filing of GST (commodity and service tax) returns till August 25. This was announced on Saturday. Earlier, the GST filing website stopped functioning due to technical difficulties a day before the scheduled deadline.


                                                       

The date of filing of GSTR-3B was fixed from July 1 to August 20, in which the data of movement of goods and credit / payment was to be filed. In the statement of the Finance Ministry, "Those who filed the return at the last minute had to face some technical difficulties." Although the government had already warned the taxpayers to file returns before the last date so that they can avoid any technical difficulties at the last minute.
