In the 45th Chief Justice of India, Deepak Mishra today took oath of office and secrecy. After retiring Chief Justice JS Khehar on Sunday, now Deepak Mishra took charge. President Ramnath Kovind administered him oath in the Darbar Hall on Monday. They will stay for this post for 13 months. Judge of India's newly-appointed Chief Justice, Deepak Mishra, is also very special to Patna. In fact Justice Mishra was the Chief Justice in the Patna High Court before becoming a Supreme Court judge. Justice Mishra, living in Odisha, was born on October 3, 1953.
Judge Deepak Mishra started the lawyer career in 1977 from the Odisha High Court. After this, he became the Judge of the Odisha High Court in 1996. Subsequently, in the year 2009, Justice Deepak Mishra assumed the charge of the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court. On December 24, 2009, Devanand Kunwar, the then governor of Bihar, administered the oath of office and secrecy to him.
