Finally Liquor Baron Vijay Mallya Arrested in London

Loan defaulter of various Bank in India and ex boss of Kingfisher airlines Vijay Mallya was arrested by Scotland Yard on an extradition warrant.

A liquor baron and owner of Kingfisher brand was produced before the Westminster Magistrates' Court. In India, CBI court had also issued warrant against Mallya in the IDBI loan default case

Most probably he will be extradite to India where he sought by bank's against loan default of more than eight million.

Indian government had handed over a formal request for the fugitive industrialist's extradition to the UK High Commission, saying it had a legitimate case against him in on charges of financial irregularities and loan default in India.

Mallya fled to Britain in March 2016 after being pursued in Indian courts by various banks seeking to recover about Rs 9,000 crore owed by his Kingfisher Airline.

After a lot of chase by various enforcement department, he has failed to appear before investigators in connection with a probe under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). 

A special court for Prevention of Money Laundering Act cases in April 2016 had issued an non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Mallya.
