Cancer Killed Actor Vinod Khanna

Bollywood Actor and superstar Vinod Khanna passed away on Thursday. He was 70. Vinod Khanna was suffering from advanced bladder carcinoma, breathed his last at 11.20 am. 

Vinod Khanna was the sitting Bharatiya Janata Party member of the Lok Sabha from the Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab. He was admitted to Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre in Girgaon, Mumbai, recently.

Vinod Khanna had acted in more than hundred movies, many of them were blockbuster.In the 1980s, at the peak of his career, he quit films to join Osho's ashram. At the time, Osho called himself Rajneesh. He joined him in 1982.

The actor, who started off as a villain, went on to star as a leading man in dozens of films including "Mere Apne", "Insaaf" and "Amar, Akbar, Anthony".

He was was last seen in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Dilwale" in 2015 and Salman Khan starred Dabang 2.
