Adam Vinatieri Wins AFC Special Teams Player Award

Adam Vinatieri shoot a 50-yard field goal with less than a minute to go to give the Indianapolis Colts a 16-14 lead over the New York Jets.

Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri took home Wednesday the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week Award.

He kicked a 43-yarder as time expired to lift the Colts to their win over the Titans, the third field goal of 40 yards or more he made in the game.

Indianapolis won the AFC South for the seventh time in eight years and made the playoffs for the ninth consecutive season, tying a record set by the Dallas Cowboys from 1975-83.
