Philadelphia Marathon: 17th Annual Race

The 17th annual Philadelphia Marathon is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. Sunday. The start/finish line is at 22d Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

There are expected 11,000 runners to challenge the 26.2-mile course.

The male and female winners will receive $3,500 each.

The marathon course runs through Center City to Penn's Landing, University City, and Manayunk before winding along Kelly Drive and back to the Art Museum.
