New England Patriots QB Tom Brady, supermodel Gisele Bundchen's husband, was involved in a car accident this morning in Boston.
Witnesses reportedly said a red minivan ran a red light striking Brady, in a black Audi, at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Gloucester Street.
The team's Tweet on Thursday morning said: "Patriots QB Tom Brady was in a car accident this morning. He was not hospitalized and is expected at Gillette Stadium today." The team is preparing for its season opener this week.
A law enforcement official who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity says the accident occurred near Brady's home in Boston's Back Bay area around 6:30 a.m. Thursday.
The official was not authorized to release names and says Brady declined medical treatment.
