Hyundai Motor India To Raise Vehicle Prices, i20,i10 Goes Up

The Indian unit of Hyundai Motor Co. said Thursday it will raise the prices of all its vehicle models by up to 1.2% Sept. 1 to offset higher input costs.

"There has been an increase in input costs for car manufacturers," said Arvind Saxena, director in charge of marketing and sales at Hyundai Motor India Ltd. "We have tried to absorb as much of the cost as we can."

Hyundai, the second-largest car maker in India, produces small cars such as the i10 and i20 as well as the Verna and Sonata sedans.
