The municipal election in Siliguri,ended peacefully on 13th September 2009.
The election has emerged as a prestige fight between the Left Front, which held the previous board, and the Trinamool Congress-Congress alliance whose political graph in West Bengal is on rise.
There are 47 seats in the take, and the result will be announced on today, 15th September.
As per extimates, around 80% of people casted their votes.
