Raj singh Dungarpur, BCCI Former chief died. Former BCCI President Raj Singh Dungarpur Passed Away Former President of The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Raj Singh Dungarpur, passed away on Saturday morning after prolonged illness.
He was 73 years old. He was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
He was the manager of Indian cricket team when it won the 1983 World Cup.
He had been a part of the selection team which chose Sachin Tendulkar was for the Indian squad in 1989. He served two terms as the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
He was also the president of the Cricket club of India (CCI) for more than 13 years. His last high-profile BCCI assignment was in 2006 when he was named the manager for the Indian cricket team’s tour of Pakistan.
