Uttar Pradesh: Mayawati scam, CBI starts probe of 1179 crore sugar mill scam

During the course of his reign against Uttar Pradesh's former chief minister BSP supremo Mayawati, the CBI has started investigating the matter of selling 21 sugar mills in 2010-11. The sale of these sugar mills resulted in a loss of Rs 1179 crore to the state government. There is a possibility that Mayawati may soon be able to keep her side in front of the public by becoming public with the media. According to information, in Uttar Pradesh, BSP chief Mayawati was Chief Minister from 2007 to 2012. In his tenure, during the year 2010-11, 21 sugar mills were sold by the Mayawati government. Naseemuddin Siddiqui, close to Mayawati, had alleged in the year 2017 that sugar mills were sold at the behest of then Chief Minister Mayawati and party general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra. However, Mayawati said while refuting that Nasimuddin is the signature of Siddiqui on the order given to sell sugar mills.
