Sensex fell 281 points

The BSE benchmark Sensex fell 281 points to close at 33,033.56 in early trade on the back of a two-day rally in the stock market. The sharp fall in stocks of major companies like Adani Port, Coal India, L & T and Reliance Industries .... The 30-share BSE Bombay Stock Exchange index opened at 33,397.41 with a rise of early trading and stood at 33,417.30 points at one point. However, after that it declined and it dropped to 32,999.98, but finally it closed 281 points or 0.84 per cent down at 33,033.56. The National Stock Exchange's Nifty also closed 96.8 points or 0.94 per cent down at 10,224.95 points. ONGC, Coal India, HDFC and L & T also declined. Idea Cellular's share fell 3.61 percent below the reported net loss in the September quarter.
